Host

British property expert turned television presenter Sofie Allsopp is back for a third season of The Unsellables (HGTV).  In addition to hosting the UK version of the series for the BBC (also called The Unsellables), Sofie was formerly the property specialist on ITV’s daytime lifestyle programme This Morning. Her other television credits include More4 Channel’s Property Guide, and Channel 4’s primetime special Britain’s Best & Worst Places to Live.  

David Sparkes
Carpenter and Co-host

Newfoundland native and former circus performer David Sparkes enjoyed a thrilling career on the flying trapeze before discovering a talent for carpentry and home renovation. Since 2003, his Toronto-based contracting firm Sparkes Painting & Trades has completed hundreds of successful projects. Now co-host of The Unsellables, David’s TV credits also include Color Confidential (W Network) and two seasons of Colin & Justin’s Home Heist (HGTV).

John Rennie
Co-host of the UK version

Previously a staff writer for People, the Mirror, and the Daily Star, real estate and financial expert John Rennie has been a freelance writer since 2001.  His popular articles and features appear in the Sunday Mirror, Good Housekeeping, and Woman+Home, among others. He also teaches post-graduate journalism at City University.

John also runs two real estate investment companies—John W. Rennie Ltd. buys, refurbishes, and rents out residential property in South and East London; and, Gazo Ltd. offers Italian hotel bookings, property, and holiday rentals on-line.
