Celebrated herpetologist and photographer Austin Stevens is gearing up for some of his most challenging adventures to date as his search for the world’s most fascinating animals takes him around the globe and through the toughest terrain on the planet.
Each mission sees Austin search out the deadliest, most venomous and rarest beasts on earth. Whether he’s tracking wild hyenas in the Ethiopian highlands, coming face-to-face with some of the deadliest snakes on the planet, fishing with grizzly bears or practicing the ancient art of shark calling in the South Pacific, Austin will stop at nothing to get close enough for the perfect photo.
To survive these missions, Austin will need his instincts, his expertise and the age-old knowledge of local people. But will it be enough to guarantee his safety as he pushes his limits and his luck to get the ultimate close encounter?
