Action, adventure, spectacular rescues, daring missions, heroes, the application of science and thrilling stories – Trapped has it all.   The episodes bring to life some of the great rescues of our time.  From an incredible tale of survival in the Andes, to a daring cave rescue in France, Trapped takes the genre to a new level, asking not just “how did it happen?” but also “how did they get out of that?”
 
Trapped takes these extraordinary escapes and reveals the fascinating details of each victim’s rescue. We focus on examples of creative problem solving, the ingenious application of basic scientific principles, hi-tech engineering and, of course, bravery, sacrifice and heroism of the rescuers.

Every episode tells the dramatic story of someone who is trapped, and the epic rescue that then unfolds.   What sets the series apart, is how each story is told from two different viewpoints – that of the hapless victims struggling to survive and that of the heroes battling to save them.
