Cineflix Announces Almost Forty Fours of Factual Programming

Cineflix President of Programming Simon Lloyd announced today that the company has greenlit forty hours of Programming from the company’s Factual division.

“Our most recent factual commissions demostrate the strong range and diversity of our factual output and customer base, with two series led out of the US, one led out of the UK and one production led out of Canada. The four series now take the year’s total production slate to more than 250 hours of high quality production, up from about 200 hours last year,” said Lloyd.

The first season of Eaten Alive (6 x 60 minutes) is in production for Animal Planet, Discovery Canada, and Canal D. Recounting spine-chilling attacks by some of world’s deadliest predators, the series recounts true stories of attacks on humans by the world’s deadliest animals.

Returning for a second season (13 x 60 minutes) on History Canada is Cold Blood, also airing on Five and Discovery Channel across Europe, the Middle East and Africa as True CSI. This strongly rated series takes viewers to the scene of an unsolved crime and pieces together different theories to eventually crack the case.

A second season of Urban Legends (15 x 30 minutes) has also been greenlit for History Canada and The BIO Channel (US). Presenting three incredible tales that feel like genuine documentaries, each episode challenges viewers to figure out which stories are true… And which ones are urban legends.

Psychic Investigators (15 x 30 minutes) will also be produced for a third season. This season will air on the W Network (Canada) and the BIO Channel (US). In it, real-life crimes are solved through an unlikely combination of hi-tech detective work and the paranormal powers of a psychic.
