Cineflix announces expansion with new co-production division. Isabelle Borduas named Head of unit

October 1, 2006 : Cineflix CEO Glen Salzman announced today plans to expand the company with the opening of a new division focusing on international co-productions.

Headed by Isabelle Bourduas, the division will establish new working partnerships and co-production opportunities with international partners across the U.K., Europe, the United States, Australia and New Zealand. Bourduas will also oversee all Quebec-based sales and broadcaster relations and work closely with the London-based sales team at the company’s distribution arm, Cineflix International Distribution, to generate new third party distribution opportunities.

Based in Montreal, Bourduas previously worked at Cineflix as Head of Production, where she brought her production expertise to the company’s critically acclaimed series Mayday, logged as one of the best performing series ever by National Geographic International. For the past ten months Bourduas has acted as a Producer at Montreal-based Galafilm.

“Isabelle brings many strengths to the company, including a sound understanding of the intricacies of co-production partnerships, and a roster of established relationships with producers in Canada, Europe and the United States,” said Salzman. “I am confident that her creative energy will serve to develop solid new relationships for Cineflix and Cineflix International.”
