Cineflix opens new production company in London

Montreal, January 20, 2005: Cineflix CEO Glen Salzman announced today the appointment of Simon Lloyd as Managing Director of Cineflix Productions UK, the company new production unit based in London. Mr. Lloyd will oversee all operations of the division, which will develop and produce factual entertainment, history, science and technology programs for an international audience.

Simon Lloyd is recognized for his unique ability to combine creativity and visionary drive while also delivering high volumes of quality programming in genres across the board, said Salzman. I am pleased that he has agreed to take on the challenge of creating a production base in the UK, and I am certain that he will be a key player in establishing new opportunities that will result in Cineflix producing entertaining programs for UK audiences and the rest of the world.

Simon Lloyd comes to Cineflix from Outline Productions where as Managing Director he Executive Produced Sort It Out Man for BBC 3, Eddie Izzard Mongrel National for Discovery, Court TV's Impossible Heists, and Homefront for UK TV History.

Previous to his role at Outline, Lloyd worked as Head of Development at Prospect Pictures, and in various executive positions at Wall to Wall, including Head of Programs for Wall to Wall Scotland, Wall to Wall Executive Producer, and Head of W2W, the company Factual Unit.

The Cineflix Productions UK team also includes Iain Taylor, Head of Development in Science and History.
