Cineflix announces new appointments for 2003

Montreal – February 4, 2003 - André Barro, Executive Producer and Vice President of Cineflix, announced today the appointment of Anne-Marie Jean as the new Director of Productions for Cineflix Montreal, and Gail Gallant as staff co-executive producer at Cineflix in Toronto.

The appointment of these two talented individuals will be an asset to the company’s rapidly expanding production and distribution operations,” said Barro. “Anne-Marie Jean’s management expertise, coupled with a strong background in television production and distribution, will ensure a flawless management of company operations, while Gail Gallant’s wealth of experience in documentary story-telling will be an asset to the continued quality and success of our series.”

Jean has over a decade of experience in television production, most recently producing the Zone 3 tourism magazine Tout un Été!, and the Telé-Vision 84 Inc. series Les 400 Couts and Les Regles du Jeu. Jean also acted as Director of Development for both Punch international, a Montreal-based television production company, and Juste Pour Rire. Prior to her career in television and entertainment, Jean worked for six years in Ottawa at various levels of the federal civil service.

Gallant, series producer and executive producer of the critically acclaimed Cineflix series Life’s Birth Stories, has produced award-winning programming for CBC Television’s Man Alive; Undercurrents; and Canada: A People’s History.
