New Cineflix series Get Me to the Wedding begins shooting in New York City

Montreal, June 2, 2003 – Cineflix has begun production in New York City on Get Me to the Wedding, a series about wedding planners broadcasting in January 2004 on W Network in Canada and on Discovery Health in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe.
The documentary series, shot in cinema verité style, tells the stories of wedding planners in New York, Philadelphia and Toronto as they help couples through the excitement and exasperation of planning the most important day of their lives.
Get Me to the Wedding comes with all the beauty and the beastly details of pulling together that very big day – from couples in crisis, to ballooning budgets to stress overload. Each episode offers a dramatic and engaging perspective on one planner’s complex job as wedding wizard – bringing to life one couple’s fantasy of a fabulous wedding. Get Me to the Wedding will shoot in New York, Philadelphia and Toronto until November 2003.
The 8 X 1/2 hour series is executive produced by André Barro and Gail Gallant. Glen Salzman and Katherine Buck are co-executive producers. Gail Gallant is the series producer. Get Me to the Wedding is produced by Cineflix in association with W Network and Discovery Health Channel, with the participation of The Quebec Film and Television Tax Credit Administered by SODEC and the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit.
