November 20, 2003

November 20, 2003: Life’s Birth Stories returns for its fifth season with ten emotionally-charged new episodes, beginning Wednesday, December 3 at 10 p.m. ET on the Life Network. The vérité-style Cineflix series interweaves compelling, character-driven stories as parents-to-be experience one of the most defining and challenging events in their lives – having a baby.

Life’s Birth Stories follows the events and drama leading up to the birth and the intensity, emotion and thrill of the birth itself. The series chronicles diverse stories of young and not-so-young couples, new immigrants and gay parents-to-be over the course of several episodes, offering an intimate portrait of a profound, pivotal moment in people’s lives. “Birth Stories resounds with its audience by offering a private look into a very emotional moment in the lives of future parents,” says Gail Gallant, Birth Stories Series Producer and Co-Executive Producer. “The wide range of characters and real-life situations offers our viewers a unique opportunity to experience poignant moments, both joyous and difficult.”

In upcoming episodes of Life’s Birth Stories, meet:

Kevin, a gay man about to become a dad by way of an anonymous egg donor. A surrogate mother will give birth to his biological child.

Nicole, eighteen-years-old and eight months pregnant, is no longer with the biological father of her baby. A former party girl, Nicole has matured as a result of her pregnancy.

Katrina, is the breadwinner of the family while her husband, Kevin, completes his Master’s degree. But now that she’s due to give birth to their second child, their roles are about to change.
