Return of the Working Dogs! Cineflix Dogs with Jobs Season Two premieres on LIFE January 15, 2001

Montreal, December 14, 2000: Working dogs are protecting sheep from bear attacks, sniffing out drug busts, providing physical therapy, and more.

After a critically-acclaimed debut last January, a recent PBS special, and a spot on Oprah, the immensely popular Dogs with Jobs series returns for a second season on Life Network starting Monday, January 15 at 6:30 p.m. ET, and 10 p.m. ET, and repeating on Saturday, January 20 at 10 p.m. ET and midnight ET.

The second season of Dogs with Jobs adds another 39 unique and wonderful dogs to this successful series. These dogs hail from South Africa, Namibia, Switzerland, Japan, the U.S. and Canada. They represent 24 different breeds, not including mixed breed mutts. Their job descriptions include search and rescue, guiding the disabled, herding elk, scaring off geese, SWAT team duties, acting, and modeling.

Tilly the border collie solves arson cases in South Africa, MacKenzie the black lab is training with his new owner who recently went blind, and Popsicle the pitbull works the Texas/Mexico border sniffing for drugs. In Namibia, Tokkolos is a male Jack Russell terrier playing Mom to cheetah cubs. In New York, photographer William Wegman’s renowned Weimeraner, Fay Wray, shows what it’s like to be a star.

Each half-hour episode features three remarkable stories and captures the dog’s point-of-view. In episode one, Tiger, a great Pyrenees, protects a herd of sheep from grizzly and black bear attacks in northern British Columbia; Gracie, a Calgary greyhound finds work as the Greyhound Bus line’s greyhound; and Klondike, an English sheep dog tries herding his first sheep in Virginia.
