Premiere Screening of Feature Length Drama Documentary

July 15, 2009

Marking the 40th anniversary of one of the grizzliest mass murders in American history, Cineflix is inviting journalists to the premiere screening of its feature length, drama-documentary Manson.

The screening will take place at Toronto’s Bloor Cinema at 7pm on Thursday, July 30th 2009. To attend contact: MediaPRinfo@cineflix.com

Manson will also premiere on History Television at 9 pm ET/PT, on August 9th, 2009.

Taking viewers back to late-1960s America — and deep into a world of hate, fear, sex, and mind-control — Manson vividly details how notorious cult leader, Charles Manson, transformed a harmless group of hippies into a gang of brutal murderers.

Featuring testimony from Manson’s getaway driver Linda Kasabian, who after decades in hiding has emerged to tell her full story for the first time, as well as interviews with Vincent Bugliosi, the chief prosecutor in the case and author of Helter Skelter: The True Story of the Manson Murders; family member Catherine Share, aka “Gypsy”; and Debra Tate, Sharon Tate’s sister.

“We’re particularly proud that Linda Kasabian agreed to take part,” said Executive Producer Nick Godwin. “Her extraordinary and moving story forms the spine of the film – and is what makes Manson unique”

The film will be followed by a cocktail reception at Southern Accent.

Date:       Thursday, July 30th 2009
