Ian Russell
Director of Co-Production and Executive Producer
Before joining Cineflix, Ian Russell was Commissioning Editor for News, Current Affairs and Documentaries at Five (from 2002), and was responsible for large-scale co-productions such as Diana: Last Days of a Princess and Victoria Cross Heroes which was introduced by Prince Charles. Ian’s commissioned series include the influential tribe swap format, Return of the Tribe and the relationship fixing show How to Have Sex after Marriage. Ian began his career in television as part of the team behind the international programmes Passengers and Eurotrash after which he went on to produce and direct award winning series for Channel 4 UK.
As a key member of Cineflix’s senior programming team, Ian is currently responsible for generating co-productions and presales in Europe. He is the executive producer of the returning US hit show Campus PD and Fight Club. Working closely with Creative Director Rob Carey, he is based in our London offices.
