Pixie Black
Head of Production Talent

Before joining Cineflix in 2007, Pixie enjoyed a successful 12-year career as a freelance Assistant Director and Production Manager in the Toronto film and television industry. She has worked on over thirty productions, including a variety of network television series and Movies of the Week for NBC, ABC and FOX.  Her extensive resume includes Stephen King’s highly acclaimed mini-series Kingdom Hospital for ABC/Sony Pictures and Showtime’s Emmy award winning Movie of the Week My Louisiana Sky.

Pixie made the transition to documentary and Factual Entertainment programming in 2006 as a member of the production team for Canadian Idol and The Much Music VJ Search.  

Pixie joined Cineflix as Production Manager on season one of the popular HGTV design series Colin & Justin’s Home Heist.  As a key member of the management team, Pixie was instrumental in the planning and budgetary supervision of the 26 episode series from pre-production to final delivery.
 
Shortly after her one-year term on Home Heist, Pixie was promoted to Head of Production Talent at Cineflix.  As Head of Talent, Pixie is responsible for overseeing the recruitment of key creative personnel both locally and internationally, including directors, producers and writers for Cineflix’s growing production division.
